South Philadelphia Man Made it to His Home to Call for Help After Being Shot

PHILADELPHIA, PA – A 38-year-old man was shot in South Philadelphia but managed to reach his home for assistance.

The shooting occurred around 11 p.m. Sunday near Jackson and South Beechwood streets.

The victim, on his way to a store, was shot in the chest and abdomen. Despite his injuries, he successfully returned to his home on South Lambert Street to seek help.

Philadelphia police officers transported him to the hospital, where he is currently in stable condition.

Investigations into the shooting are ongoing, and further details are awaited.
