Spotswood Man Arrested on Charges of Sexual Assault and Child Endangerment

SPOTSWOOD, N.J. — A Spotswood man has been charged with multiple serious offenses, including aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child, following an investigation by local and county authorities. The Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office and the Spotswood Police Department announced the arrest on Thursday.

Raymond Remus, 45, was taken into custody on August 22 without incident. The charges against him include first-degree aggravated sexual assault, second-degree sexual assault, and second-degree endangering the welfare of a child. These charges stem from allegations involving two juvenile victims.

The investigation was led by Detective John Fedak of the Spotswood Police Department and Detective Ryan Kirsh of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office. According to officials, Remus is currently being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center, where he awaits the outcome of a Pre-Trial Detention hearing.
