SPRINGVILLE, NY – Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 22-year-old Tyler Rehrauer, also known as Tyler Lux-Rehrauer, of Springville was virtually arraigned this morning before Buffalo City Court Judge Shannon M. Heneghan, acting as a Springville Town Justice, on one count of Manslaughter in the First Degree, a Class “B” felony.
It is alleged that on Monday, December 7, 2020, at approximately 2:20 a.m., the defendant and the victim were involved in a physical altercation outside the defendant’s home on Greenwood Place in the Village of Springville. The victim, 43-year-old Patrick Flynn, was critically injured in the assault. He later died at ECMC. His cause of death was determined to be blunt force trauma to the head.
Rehrauer is scheduled to return on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. for a felony hearing. He was remanded without bail.
If convicted on all charges, Rehrauer faces up to 25 years in prison.
DA Flynn, who is of no known relation to the victim in this case, commends the Erie County Sheriff’s Office for their work in the investigation.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Eugene T. Partridge, III of the DA’s Homicide Bureau.

As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
