Stabbing leaves one dead in the Bronx

NEW YORK – Officers with the New York City Police Department responded to a 911 call reporting a stabbing incident in front of 1711 Colgate Avenue, within the jurisdiction of the 43 Precinct, on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at around 5:49 am.

Upon arrival, officers found a 26-year-old male with two stab wounds to the torso.

Emergency Medical Services immediately transported the victim to NYC Health & Hospitals-Jacobi, but, he was pronounced dead at the hospital.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is still ongoing. The identity of the deceased is pending, awaiting notification of the family.
