Stafford County Police Blotter: Here’s What’s Happening

STAFFORD COUNTY, VA – The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office reported several key incidents in their daily summary for June 21.

In a larceny incident at Sheetz on Garrisonville Road, two males attempted to take items without payment on the evening of June 20. Deputies T.G. Croson and S.A. Edwards responded to the scene, identified, and issued summonses to the suspects at a local residence.

Two separate cases of public intoxication were reported. The first occurred early on June 20 at Wawa on South Gateway Drive, where Deputy J.A. Martin and Deputy I.E. Baldi apprehended a male after he admitted to consuming alcohol. Another intoxicated male was encountered by Deputy D.S. Jett on Cambridge Street, displaying erratic behavior and an alcohol odor. Both suspects were detained at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.

A potential swatting incident was investigated late on June 20 at Madison Court. Deputies were called to a reported disturbance involving a weapon, but found no evidence of trouble after speaking with neighbors.

Another notable event involved Deputy B.W. Gildea, who served a warrant at Wawa on Garrisonville Road. The suspect attempted to deceive the deputy with a false identity but was ultimately detained on charges including false identification and identity theft, along with the enforcement of his outstanding warrant. He was held without bond at Rappahannock Regional Jail.
