Stafford County student found with THC vape at Brooke Point High School

STAFFORD, Va. — A student at Brooke Point High School was found in possession of a THC vape on Monday afternoon, according to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office. The incident occurred at approximately 12:40 p.m. on September 10, 2024.

Deputy D.J. Taylor, serving as the school resource officer (SRO), was informed by school staff of potential drug activity. Staff members discovered a student vaping in a bathroom and conducted a search, which led to the discovery of a THC vape.

Criminal complaints for underage possession of THC and possession on school grounds have been submitted. The student’s identity has not been released, and the investigation is ongoing.
