Stafford Student Arrested and Charged for Threatening School Violence at Southern Regional H.S.

MANAHAWKIN, NJ – A Stafford Township 17-year-old has been arrested and charged after police learned about a school violence threat he made on a school bus on Tuesday.

Deven Marino, 18 years old, Manahawkin, was arrested and charged with making terroristic threats and lodged in the Ocean County Jail.

He is not permitted to return to school, police noted.

“Det. Erik Smithman and SRO Anthony Vincent led the investigation for the Stafford Township Police Department and were assisted by Southern Regional School District Administrative Staff and the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office,” the department said.
