STAMFORD, Conn. — A lucky lottery player in Stamford scored a $25,000 prize on the Connecticut Lottery’s 100X scratch-off game, officials announced Tuesday.

The winner, whose name was not released, purchased the winning ticket at Shippan Corner Variety in Stamford, turning a routine stop into a five-figure windfall.

The 100X scratch-off offers multiple prize tiers, with more top prizes still available as of July 1.

Shippan Corner Variety will receive a retailer bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Lottery officials remind winners to sign the back of their tickets immediately and follow prize-claim procedures at ctlottery.org.
