State Police use ROOK armored, tracked vehicle to remove stranded vehicles from Buffalo roadways

BUFFALO, NY – Stranded vehicles are hindering the state’s recovery efforts plow snow-covered roadways after this week’s deadly winter storm. In Buffalo, the New York State Police is employing the ROOK, an armored tracked police vehicle fitted with a lift to simply lift the vehicles out of the snow to move them off the road so the plows can continue clearing roadways littered with abandoned vehicles.
