Student Arrested for Firearm Possession at Franklin High School

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — A 17-year-old male student at Franklin High School was arrested and charged as an adult after being found with a firearm on campus. The incident occurred on June 11, 2024, at approximately 1:50 p.m.

The school’s administration alerted the School Resource Officer about a suspicious individual potentially armed. The officer promptly responded, safely removing the student from the area and recovering the firearm.

The student has been charged with possession of a firearm and is being held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center. This swift response underscores the importance of school safety protocols and vigilant reporting by school personnel.
