Student Bus Driver Crashed a New Jersey Transit Bus into Building

LEONIA, N.J. — A NJ Transit bus crashed into a vacant building at the intersection of Grand Avenue and Fort Lee Road on Wednesday morning, according to the Leonia Police Department.

The bus was occupied only by a student driver and an instructor at the time of the crash. No injuries were reported, and the building was unoccupied.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash. Emergency crews from the Leonia Volunteer Fire Department, Englewood Hospital EMS, NJ Transit Police, and the Leonia Building Department responded to the scene.

Officials have not released further details as the investigation continues.
