STAFFORD, Va., — A student at Colonial Forge High School in Stafford County is facing multiple criminal complaints following an assault on campus last Friday morning. The incident occurred on August 16, 2024, at approximately 7:25 a.m., just as students were beginning their school day.

Deputy G.M. Lum, serving as the School Resource Officer (SRO), was informed of the assault while on duty. According to reports, the student attacked another student without provocation. When the victim’s friends intervened to stop the assault, the aggressor allegedly assaulted them as well.

As a result, four criminal complaints for assault and battery were filed against the student. The investigation is ongoing, and the student’s case will likely proceed through the appropriate legal and disciplinary channels.

The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office emphasized the importance of maintaining a safe school environment and will continue to work closely with school officials to address the incident.

“Our Daily Incident Report for 8/19/2024,” the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office stated in a post, detailing the incident as part of their ongoing commitment to transparency and public safety.
