NEWARK, NJ – Spring is in the air, and so is love. Spring is a popular season for marriage, and a new study done by “Lawnlove.com” says Newark, New Jersey is one place you don’t want to have your outdoor wedding.
You might ask yourself why a landscaping company would do such research, but one of the keys to a beautiful outdoor wedding is a beautifully landscaped backdrop.
Newark was ranked the third worst place to have an outdoor wedding, and it’s not just because it’s a city. Some of the top outdoor wedding spots are big cities like Orlando, Miami, and New Orleans.
Lawn Love compared the 200 biggest U.S. cities based on eight categories. We looked at the quality of outdoor wedding venues, access to wedding planners, and sunshine among 36 total metrics.
The best city for an outdoor wedding turns out to be Charleston, South Carolina. The absolute worst city was West Valley City, Utah.
There are some great wedding spots in the urbanized area of North Jersey, but according to the data, Newark isn’t one of them, however, the annual cherry blossom boom at Branch Brook Park is a spectacle to behold.
