Subway Groper Sought in Upper Manhattan

NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department is requesting public assistance to locate an individual connected to a forcible touching incident in Upper Manhattan.

The event occurred on Wednesday, November 22, at around 11:30 am.

A 49-year-old female victim reported that while ascending the escalator on the 96th Street “Q” train platform, an unidentified male touched her buttocks. The suspect then escaped on a southbound “Q” train. There were no injuries reported from the incident.

The suspect is described as a male with black hair, brown eyes, about 5’7” tall, weighing 170 lbs., and approximately 35 years old. The NYPD is actively investigating and encourages anyone with information to come forward.
