Subway Slashing Man slashed on subway train near Brooklyn station, suspect sought

Brooklyn, NY – A 31-year-old man was slashed on a southbound “A” train Friday afternoon after a dispute with another rider turned violent, police said.

The attack happened around 4:23 p.m. as the train approached the Hoyt/Schermerhorn Station. According to investigators, the unidentified assailant pulled a knife and slashed the victim on the arm and head before fleeing the station.

EMS transported the victim to One Brooklyn Health-Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition.

Police described the suspect as a male with a dark complexion, last seen wearing a black hat, blue pants, and a black sweater. He remains at large.
