Suffolk County Police Recruits Participate in Bay Shore Fire Company 5k and Food Drive

by Suffolk County Police Department

The spirit of giving is alive and well with the members of Suffolk County Police Recruit Class 22-185, who participated in a charity run and collected canned goods for a local food drive during the weekend.

The class participated in the annual Bay Shore Fire Department Engine Company Run to the Pump 5k Race in Brightwaters—an event that benefits the fire department. In addition to sweating for a good cause, the recruits collected non-perishable items for Long Island Cares-Harry Chapin Food Bank.

The class still has a few weeks until their mid-August graduation, but the SCPD is already proud of their dedication to helping Suffolk County communities!
