Washington, D.C. – A shooting in Southeast has prompted a request for assistance in locating a suspect.

On Wednesday, September 18, at 6:04 p.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 1600 block of Marion Barry Avenue, Southeast. Upon arrival, they found an adult female victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Surveillance cameras in the vicinity captured images of the suspect.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect or the incident is urged to call the D.C. Metro Police Department at (202) 727-9099 or text their tips to the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. A reward of up to $10,000 is currently offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for violent crimes in the District of Columbia.
