Toms River announces Halloween house decorating contest

TOMS RIVER, N.J. — Toms River Mayor Dan Rodrick and the Toms River Recreation Department have announced the start of the town’s annual Halloween House Decorating Contest. Residents are invited to participate by registering their decorated homes now through Oct. 21.

Following registration, participants’ houses will be featured on social media, where fellow Toms River residents can vote between Oct. 24 and Oct. 30. Winners will be awarded select prizes.

The town emphasizes that entries must be family-friendly, with any decorations deemed inappropriate or vulgar resulting in immediate disqualification.
