BETHLEHEM TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The suspect in Monday’s attempted robbery at Bethlehem Square Mall was apprehended early Tuesday morning following a search near a local hotel and highway, authorities said.

Zymaire Tayron Greene, 21, was located at approximately 2:00 a.m. along Route 22 in Bethlehem Township after fleeing on foot from the WoodSpring Suites Hotel on Christian Spring Road. Police responded to the hotel at around 1:30 a.m. after receiving reports that Greene had been seen there.

Troopers from Pennsylvania State Police – Bethlehem took Greene into custody without incident and recovered a stolen handgun at the scene. Bethlehem Township investigators later linked Greene to a similar robbery attempt on November 30.

Greene faces multiple charges, including two counts of first-degree attempted robbery with a firearm, terroristic threats, simple assault, and evading arrest. He is being held at Northampton County Prison Central Booking Center pending arraignment.

Authorities credited coordinated efforts between Bethlehem Township Police, Pennsylvania State Police, and multiple regional departments for Greene’s apprehension.

The investigation remains ongoing, with officials confirming Greene’s connection to both recent robbery attempts.
