Suspect Arrested Following Armed Robbery in D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A suspect was swiftly arrested following an armed robbery in Northeast D.C. on Monday afternoon.

At approximately 2:10 p.m., officers were flagged down in the 1500 block of Benning Road, Northeast, where a victim reported being robbed by two individuals, one of whom was armed with a knife. Responding officers promptly apprehended one of the suspects.

Following the investigation, 45-year-old Antonio McCoy of Northeast D.C. was charged with Armed Robbery (Knife).

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the police at (202) 727-9099 or text tips to 50411. A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those involved in violent crimes in the District of Columbia.
