Suspect Arrested for Murder of 27-Year-Old Taijah Addison

BALTIMORE — A 27-year-old Baltimore man has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection with a fatal shooting that took place in the city’s Southwest District on Thursday.

Patrol officers arrested Matthew Crawley shortly after the killing of 27-year-old Taijah Addison, who was found inside a vehicle in the 700 block of Yale Avenue with a gunshot wound to the upper body. Medics pronounced Addison dead at the scene.

After reviewing surveillance footage, officers located Crawley in the 500 block of Yale Avenue and took him into custody without incident. He was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was formally charged.

Police have not yet disclosed a possible motive for the shooting.
