Suspect Arrested for Murder of Homeless Man in NYC

NEW YORK, NY – Raheem Jones, a 40-year-old resident of Lexington Avenue, has been taken into custody and charged with murder and criminal possession of a loaded firearm by the police on Wednesday.

The charges are linked to a fatal incident that occurred on Saturday, October 22, 2022. Police responded to a call of a person shot at East 128 Street, at approximately 3:10 am.

Upon arrival, officers found Dujuan Williams, a 31-year-old undomiciled male, unconscious and unresponsive due to a gunshot wound to his chest.

Emergency Medical Services transported Williams to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem where he was pronounced dead. Despite the arrest, the investigation into the case is ongoing.
