Suspect arrested for threat to kill in Ocean County held on ICE detainer

TOMS RIVER, N.J. — A man arrested Wednesday in Ocean County is being held without bail after being charged with making a threat to kill and attempting to cause bodily injury, according to jail records.

Kant Abad was booked on July 9 and is facing two charges under New Jersey statutes: 2C:12-3B for making a threat to kill (a third-degree crime) and 2C:12-1A(1) for attempting to purposely or knowingly cause bodily injury to another (a fourth-degree crime).

An immigration detainer has also been filed against Abad.
