Virginia Beach, VA – Police have announced the arrest of a man wanted for a shooting several weeks ago in Virginia Beach.

On April 29, officers from the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) who were patrolling on mountain bikes in the 2200 block of Atlantic Avenue heard a gunshot. They immediately responded and discovered a single victim who was then transported to a local hospital.

The victim’s injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening and they survived.

No witnesses were present at the scene.

Through extensive efforts by VBPD Detectives and Forensics Squad personnel, the perpetrator was identified. Timothy Lane Jr., 20, from Virginia Beach was apprehended on May 17, by the VBPD Warrant Fugitive Squad.

Lane is facing charges of Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony and Aggravated Assault.
