Suspect Arrested in D.C. Fatal Stabbing

Washington, D.C. — An arrest has been made in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred in Northeast D.C., according to police reports.

On June 18 at approximately 4:08 p.m., officers responded to a report of a stabbing in the 5200 block of Foote Street, Northeast. Upon arrival, they found a man, unconscious but breathing, suffering from multiple puncture wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced dead despite all lifesaving efforts.

The victim has been identified as 60-year-old Gary Ronald Day of Southeast, D.C.

Following an investigation, Ronald Lamont Levi, 49, of Northeast, D.C., was arrested on July 26 and charged with Second Degree Murder while Armed.
