Suspect Arrested in Deadly Greensboro Weekend Shooting

GREENSBORO, NC – The Greensboro Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Saturday morning.

At approximately 12:54 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 500 block of South Elm Street following reports of a disorder and a shooting.

Upon arrival, they found the victim, who was later identified as Davenport, with life-threatening injuries.

He was transported to the hospital by EMS but succumbed to his injuries, prompting a homicide investigation.

Andrew Dajuan Jemison, 33, has been taken into custody and charged with first-degree murder. The investigation is ongoing, and further details are yet to be disclosed by the Greensboro Police Department.
