Suspect Arrested in Hate Crime at Jewish Museum of Maryland

BALTIMORE, Md. – A 66-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a fire set outside the Jewish Museum of Maryland on August 4, in what is being treated as a hate crime.

Baltimore Police Department investigators quickly identified the suspect, and on August 9, detectives obtained a warrant for his arrest. The following day, Baltimore City SWAT officers arrested the suspect without incident at a residence in the 700 block of Druid Park Lake Drive.

The suspect, who has a history of fire-related offenses, was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he faces charges related to the incident.
