NEW YORK, NY – An individual has been arrested and charged in relation to an ongoing investigation.
The arrested individual is identified as Angel Garcia, a 43-year-old male New York City resident. Garcia has been charged with manslaughter and criminal possession of a loaded firearm.
The deceased victim has been identified as Angel Cruzeta, a 30-year-old male.
In the early hours of Wednesday, July 5, NYPD officers responded to a reported shooting at 72 Vermilyea Avenue, the deceased man’s home.
Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim with a gunshot wound to his face. Emergency Medical Services transported the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Harlem where he was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
