Suspect Arrested in NYC Chinatown Murder Case

NEW YORK, NY – Police investigating a murder in NYC’s Chinatown neighborhood have announced they have made an arrest in the case.

In connection to an ongoing investigation, a 49-year-old male has been arrested and charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon by 5 Precinct officers.

Huang Yu Feng, a Bowery resident, was arrested on Sunday, August 13, at approximately 4:15 PM.

The arrest stems from an incident earlier in the day, at around 3:30 AM, when police responded to a 911 call of an assault in progress opposite 104 Bayard Street.

Upon arrival, officers found an unknown male with a slash wound to the neck.

The victim was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals – Bellevue Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

Feng was taken into custody as a person of interest in this incident, and the investigation continues.
