UTICA, NY — A man accused of breaking into a Dunkin’ Donuts and stealing several hundred dollars earlier this month has been arrested, according to the Utica Police Department.

The burglary occurred on November 4 at 112 N. Genesee Street, where the suspect allegedly shattered a glass door to gain entry and stole money from a secured area. Surveillance footage aided investigators in identifying the suspect, who was also wanted by New York State Parole for a parole violation.

On November 15, New York State Parole officers located and arrested the suspect, identified as Louis O. Wright, 36, of Utica. Wright was handed over to Utica Police’s Criminal Investigations Division, where he was charged with burglary in the third degree, criminal mischief in the third degree, petit larceny, and an active NYS Parole warrant.

Authorities have not disclosed additional details about the case or the current status of the investigation.
