Boston, MA – On Friday, November 8, at approximately 1:17 AM, law enforcement from District B-3 (Mattapan) detained Calvin Horne, 38, from Holbrook, for multiple firearm violations.

Authorities noticed a vehicle traveling at high speed along the American Legion Highway. They pursued the vehicle, which subsequently turned onto Blue Hill Avenue.

The officers identified the vehicle had revoked insurance status, rendering it inoperable on public roads. After initiating a traffic stop, the vehicle decelerated and halted at 19 Wolcott Street.

Upon instructing the driver to exit due to the towing of the vehicle, a search revealed a Phoenix Arms HP22A firearm, loaded with ten rounds. Further search led to the discovery of five knives, one equipped with brass knuckles. Horne faces charges including multiple firearm offenses and motor vehicle law violations.
