Suspect Arrested in Northwest D.C. Wrench Attack

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department detectives have made an arrest in an assault involving a wrench on Friday afternoon at the 2600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue in Northwest, D.C.

Just before 4 pm, the suspect engaged the victim at the specified location. After a verbal altercation, the suspect wielded a wrench and assaulted the victim, then fled from the scene.

A nearby surveillance camera captured the suspect, and 48-year-old Jogaak Malual was arrested and charged with the attack on Sunday.
