FORT LEE, N.J. — A male student remains hospitalized in stable condition after being stabbed multiple times inside a Fort Lee High School bathroom on Tuesday, authorities confirmed, as investigators continue to process a juvenile case stemming from a violent altercation between students.

Incident under investigation as juvenile case

According to a statement from Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella released Wednesday, the stabbing occurred on April 8 during a fight between two male students in a school restroom. Fort Lee Police responded to the scene and discovered one of the students had suffered multiple stab wounds.

First responders and school personnel administered immediate aid before the victim was transported to a nearby hospital in critical but stable condition. His condition has since improved, and he remains hospitalized.
