MANHATTAN, NY – A man was stabbed to death a block away from Madison Square Garden Friday night and another is in custody.
On Friday, at approximately 8:13 AM, the MTS Precinct received a 911 call from the vicinity of 7th Avenue and West 30 Street. Upon arrival, police discovered a 36-year-old man, unconscious and unresponsive, with a stab wound in his chest.
The victim was transported by EMS to NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue, where he was later pronounced dead. A 34-year-old male was taken into custody without incident. Charges are currently pending. The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
