Suspect in Deadly Stabbing of Brooklyn Woman on Friday Captured by NYPD

BROOKLYN, NY – Police responded to a 911 call of an assault at 442 42 Street in Brooklyn early Friday morning. At the scene, they discovered Maria Diaz, 25, with a fatal stab wound. Diaz was transported to Maimonides Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

The incident occurred within the 72 Precinct at approximately 4:31 pm Following an investigation, Eduardo Perez, 36 was arrested and charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
