Suspect pulls gun during argument in Queens business

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance to locate an individual involved in a shooting in Queens. The incident occurred on Monday, around 8:00 am at a commercial establishment at 218-30 Merrick Boulevard.

The unknown individual entered the establishment and initiated a verbal dispute with a 25-year-old male customer. The disagreement escalated, and the suspect brandished a firearm.

The customer attempted to disarm the suspect, leading to a struggle during which a single round was fired from the weapon, causing damage to property.

The suspect then fled the scene on foot, heading north on Merrick Boulevard. The customer suffered minor lacerations and declined medical assistance at the scene.
