Suspect Sought for Attempted Sexual Assault Near Cecil B. Moore Rec Center

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Authorities are actively searching for a suspect involved in the attempted sexual assault of a juvenile on March 28, 2024, at 9:15 PM at the Cecil B. Moore Recreation Center located at 2551 N. 22nd Street. The incident was preceded by an encounter between the victim and the suspect at the Red Fox corner store at 2200 W. Lehigh Ave.

The suspect is described as a Black male in his mid-30s, approximately 5’10” tall with a thin build and trimmed facial hair. He was last seen wearing black pants, a black jacket, a black baseball hat, and white and black sneakers with green laces, accessorized with a gold watch.

The public is urged not to approach the suspect if seen and to contact 911 immediately.
