Suspect sought in Southeast D.C. burglary caught on camera

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Police are searching for a suspect involved in a burglary that occurred in Southeast D.C. last month. The incident took place on Thursday, September 19th, at around midnight in the 3700 block of Ely Place, Southeast.

The suspect reportedly broke into private property, cut locks on multiple trailers, and stole a large assortment of tools and supplies. Surveillance cameras captured both the suspect and his vehicle, with footage available for viewing here: YouTube video.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the suspect or the vehicle to contact the Metropolitan Police Department at (202) 727-9099 or text tips to 50411. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the case.
