Suspect Sought in Yankee Stadium Station Attack of 72-Year-Old Woman

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying an individual connected to an assault that occurred last Thursday.

The incident took place at approximately 7:15 p.m. at the River Avenue and East 161 Street subway station.

The victim, a 72-year-old female, was exiting the elevator when she was attacked by an unidentified female.

The suspect struck the victim multiple times in the face, causing bruising and swelling before fleeing the scene. The victim was taken to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln in stable condition.

The suspect is described as a female with a dark complexion, approximately 35 to 40 years old, 5’6″ tall, and weighing 200 pounds. She was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, tan pants, black sandals, and carrying a black book bag.
