Suspect Who Robbed 83-Year-Old New Yorker Also Wanted for Subway Robbery

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is requesting public assistance to identify an individual linked to two robbery incidents.

The first incident took place on Tuesday, September 12, around 12:00 pm.

A 24-year-old male was robbed of his backpack on the southbound #2 train at the Freeman Street station.

The second incident occurred the same day, approximately 30 minutes later. An 83-year-old man was robbed at knife-point near East 169th Street and Simpson Street.

The suspect is described as a slim male, last seen wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, and dark sneakers.
