Suspect Who Shoved Elderly Man Onto NYC Train Tracks Arrested

NEW YORK CITY, NY – Police have made an arrest in an assault incident that took place at the 68 Street-Hunter College subway station on September 12.

Derrick Mills, a 49-year-old male residing at West 80th Street in New York, was arrested on Thursday, September 14, at 3:40 p.m. Mills has been charged with assault.

Mills was charged after a 74-year-old male was shoved onto the tracks at the southbound 6 train platform of the 68 Street-Hunter College subway station. The incident occurred at approximately midnight.

The victim was taken by EMS to NY Presbyterian Weill-Cornell Medical Center and is in stable condition.
