Suspects blocking traffic shot at driver after he honked horn, police say

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Police are investigating a shooting in Kensington last week. According to police, three men were approached by a man in a vehicle in the area of the 4600 block of C Street at around 11 pm, on February 18.

According to police, the three men were disrupting traffic and creating a disturbance.

“The three young males were walking on the 4600 block of C St towards Courtland Street,” police said in a report of the incident. “The group slowly crossed C St mid-block, disrupting vehicular traffic. The driver of one vehicle honked at the males, prompting them to yell obscenities at the driver before one of the males fired three shots into the driver’s side of the car, striking the operator in the left thigh.”

The suspects fled on foot towards Courtland St.
