Suspects Flee After Failed Armed Assault in D.C.

Washington, D.C. – A dangerous confrontation involving a handgun has triggered a widespread search for suspects in Southeast D.C.

On Wednesday morning, around 8:08 a.m., a suspect brandishing a handgun confronted a victim in the 1300 block of Savannah Street, Southeast. Despite the threats, the victim did not comply, and the suspects subsequently fled the scene unharmed.

Photos of the suspects were taken from nearby surveillance footage.

If you have any information, please do not approach the suspects. Instead, contact the MPD at (202) 727-9099 or send a tip to the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. A reward of up to $10,000 is available for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrators of this crime.
