Suspects Sought in Attempted Car Theft on Race St

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Central Detective Division is asking for the public’s help in identifying two individuals involved in an attempted car theft.

On Sunday, May 7, at around 3:54 pm, the suspects followed the complainant after he parked his car at 1016 Race St. The suspects grabbed the car keys from the complainant’s hand and attempted to steal the car.

After a brief struggle, the complainant retrieved his keys, and the suspects fled.

The first suspect is a black male in his teens, thin build, wearing a skull and crossbones knit hat, a backpack, dark jacket, blue Adidas sweatpants, and white sneakers. The second suspect is a black male in his teens, thin build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and black sneakers.
