Suspects Wanted for Beating 14-Year-Old While Playing Ball at Corner Park

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is continuing its search for multiple suspects wanted for attacking a boy on a basketball court in the Bronx.

On August 12, at around 8:10 p.m., a 14-year-old boy was playing basketball at the intersection of East 181 and Walton Avenue. Two unknown individuals approached the victim; one displayed a firearm and fired multiple shots, hitting the victim in the lower back and right leg.

Both suspects fled on foot, heading south on Jerome Avenue toward the 4 line 183 Street train station. EMS transported the victim to New York-Presbyterian/Weil Cornell Medical Center, where he is in stable condition.

The first individual is described as a male with a light complexion, approximately 5’6″-5’8″ in height, and of slim build. He was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, light-colored pants, and a blue baseball cap.

The second individual is also a male with a light complexion, of unknown height but with a slim build. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black and yellow sneakers, and had his hair in a ponytail.
