Suspicious Death Investigation in Lancaster Determined to be Natural Causes

LANCASTER CITY, PA – The Lancaster City Bureau of Police has closed its investigation into the death of inmate Michael James Owens, determining natural causes as the reason.

On Thursday, Owens was found unresponsive in his cell at Lancaster County Prison.

Despite immediate medical intervention and continued efforts by first responders, he was pronounced dead shortly after.

The Bureau extends its gratitude towards the prison staff and first responders for their timely and coordinated response.
