Suspicious Suspect Stop in Baltimore Leads to Illegal Gun Charge

Baltimore, MD – A 40-year-old male was arrested early this morning in the 700 block of South Broadway for possession of a loaded handgun.

At approximately 2 a.m. on July 5, 2024, Northeast District Action Team officers, working out of the Central District, observed the individual exhibiting characteristics of an armed person. A short investigation ensued, leading to the discovery of a loaded handgun in the suspect’s waistband.

The handgun was determined to have been reported stolen from Baltimore City in 2019. The suspect was subsequently transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility and charged accordingly.
