WARRINGTON, PA – Police in Warrington responded quickly after it was reported that a swastika was spraypainted on a utility pole in town.
On Friday, at 9:43 am, Warrington Township police received a report of a swastika, painted in white spray paint, on Verizon pole #36 at 15 Folly Road near County Line Road.
The symbol, measuring one foot by one foot, was discovered by a township resident during a walk. Responding Officer Timothy Stinger used traffic marking paint from his vehicle to cover the symbol immediately.
Chief Daniel J. Friel stated, “This symbol of hate was removed immediately, and we are thankful to the resident who reported this to us.”
The police department has opened an investigation and is utilizing all available investigative resources to identify the person or persons responsible.
The Warrington Township Police Department is urging residents with surveillance footage or information related to this incident to come forward to aid in the identification of the suspects.
