Swatara Township Police Arrest Suspect After Vehicle Chase

SWATARA TOWNSHIP, PA – On Monday, at 10:24 PM, a Swatara Township Police officer observed a vehicle tailgating and failing to stop at a stop sign on Eisenhower Boulevard.

The vehicle, reported stolen from East Pennsboro Township, sped away when the officer prepared to make a traffic stop, resulting in a chase.

The suspect vehicle ultimately crashed into another car on South 28th Street near Amity Road.

The driver was immediately taken into custody and now faces multiple charges, including Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Police Officer, Theft by Receiving Stolen Property, and DUI. Injured parties in the stolen vehicle were transported to local hospitals for treatment.
