SYOSSET, NY – The New York Lottery announced today that a third-prize-winning Powerplay ticket for the Aug 26 Powerball drawing was sold in Syosset. The ticket, worth $150,000, was sold at Cards & Gift located at 324 Jericho Turnpike.
The Powerball game draws numbers from a field of one to 69, and the Power Ball is selected from a separate field of one to 26. The Power Play option allows players to multiply non-jackpot prizes.
Drawings occur every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. Winners have up to one year to claim their prize.
